RACHEL SKEPPER

Enthralled in the world of the performing arts since early childhood has significantly influenced Rachel Skepper’s design aesthetic and has provided an eternal wealth of inspiration.

The artists’ diverse ancestral heritage furthermore contributes to her secular vision and interpretation of design.

Experience in the Hats & Jewellery Department at the Royal Opera House in London, and the Millinery Department at the Australian Ballet in Melbourne, manifests during the design process imparting a theatrical and unique sensibility, enriching the final creations.

Rachel’s avant-garde millinery creations have been featured online and in numerous international publications, including Rolling Stone Italia and Russia, Amica Magazine and ELLE.it, and her theatrical designs have developed a loyal clientele who likewise appreciate the beauty and quality of artisanal craftsmanship.

Her inaugural ready-to-wear collection ‘Australia’ was exhibited at WHITE Milano, by invitation from A.I. (AltaRoma), during Milan Fashion Week in 2014, and exhibited by invitation at PR01. Trade Show, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo in 2015.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Rachel has fortunately been surrounded and inspired by a creative collective.
Most notably her grandmother, a jewellery designer specialising in pearls, significantly influences Rachel’s appreciation for quality and craftsmanship and is the inspiration behind her forthcoming collection of Fine Jewellery.

A unique collaboration with Mona – MUSEUM OF OLD AND NEW ART in Tasmania Australia will be unveiled in 2016.
